  23. The Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) -- the 'faceless
  24. ones', the masked ones, the rebels, those that Salinas de
  25. Gortari called "professionals of violence," those that you,
  26. Mr. President, call criminals -- have succeeded in unmasking
  27. and revealng to the world the true character of the Chase
  28. Manhattan Bank, Wall Street, The International Monetary Fund,
  29. the World Bank, GATT, NAFTA, the World Trade Organization and
  30. the Trilateral Commission. They call themselves 'honest
  31. businesspeople,' when in reality they are "unos cabrones."

  33. Chase Manhattan Bank fired Riordan Roett, author of the
  34. infamous memo of January 13, 1995, which contained this
  35. chilling paragraph: "While Chiapas, in our opinion, does not
  36. pose a fundamental threat to Mexican political stability, it
  37. is perceived to be so by many in the investment community.
  38. The government will need to eliminate the Zapatistas to
  39. demonstrate their effective control of the national territory
  40. and of security policy."

  42. The masks of the puppets and capitalist vampires, the
  43. neoliberals and technocrats, have fallen, showing their true
  44. faces, and their hands are dripping blood. The multinational
  45. organizations and world economic institutions previously
  46. named, above all the Trilateral Commission (founded in 1973 by
  47. David Rockefeller and his cronies [com-pinches]), are the
  48. creators of today's new world order.  This amalgam of world
  49. powers, inspired by the vision of
  50.  
  51.    o    a world dictatorship,
  52.    o    a single military power
  53.    o    a single economic order
  54.    o    one world currency (the "cashless society")
  55.    o    a monolithic, homogeneous global culture (a human
  56.         "alphabet soup")
  57.  
  58. have driven us into NAFTA and GATT.  The next step will be to
  59. create the American Common Market from Alaska to Argentina,
  60. achieving the total economic, political, and military
  61. integration of the Western hemisphere, once "barriers" such as
  62. the Zapatista uprising, Castro's 'threat', and other emerging
  63. Latin American struggles  have been eliminated.  In the United
  64. States, ethnic cleansing -- indeed, the continuation of
  65. genocide -- will be carried out against Native Americans,
  66. Latinos, Asians, African-Americans, other minority groups, and
  67. their supporters.

  69. When the Asian economic bloc, led by Japan, obliterates the
  70. threat of North Vietnam and North Korea, and brings China
  71. under control, the integration of the East will be achieved.
  72. The European Union is targeted to follow the same pattern, as
  73. early as 1999-2002.  The stage will then be set for the new
  74. millenium, the dream of Caligula, Nero, Napoleon, Hitler, and
  75. today's neoliberals, technocrats, and Trilateralists.

  77. Once again, the little people, the faceless, the poor, the
  78. sick, challenge with dignity (our sole remaining treasure) the
  79. power of the beast.  Mr. President, the members of our
  80. organization, the Central Campesina Independiente del Estado
  81. de Chihuahua, have been struggling for justice in the Sierra
  82. Tarahumara.  The condition of the indigenous peoples of
  83. Chihuahua is no better than those in Chiapas or other parts of
  84. the country.

  86. We have been asking the American government, the United
  87. Nations, and the government of Mexico to clean up the Rio
  88. Grande, declared in 1992 a cesspool of toxic chemicals by the
  89. American Medical Association.  We demand immediate corrective
  90. action by the multinational corporations responsible for the
  91. creation of this environmental and human disaster.  Our
  92. brothers the Mayans ask for food, clothing, roads, education,
  93. health care, land, and justice -- and you send the Army.  In
  94. Chihuahua, we ask for the same things; we want solutions, we
  95. want peace with dignity.  Mr. President, consider the
  96. decisions you make. Washington and the organizations and
  97. institutions mentioned above -- will they rule our country
  98. forever?
